The idea of mass deportation of people who had legally migrated into a country used to be a clear indicator for not only far-right, but far-right extremist policies.

This says a lot on both how far Reform has radicalised, and how these kind of ideas are becoming normalised in Western democracies.

Sie wissen, dass Staaten spätestens seit der IGH-Entscheidung + Maßnahmen vom Januar 2024 im Fall Südafrika vs. Israel die Pflicht haben zu handeln. Es heißt nicht umsonst UN-Konvention zur VERHÜTUNG und Bestrafung des Völkermordes.

Wenn sich schon alle über die ZEIT aufregen: Dort findet sich heute auch eine einfühlsame Reportage über IDF-Soldaten mit PTSD. Ein Protagonist hat sich eine Szene aus Gaza tätowiert: Im Bulldozer zerstört er ein Haus, daneben Mutter und Kind. Er leugnet, in Gaza Zivilisten gesehen zu haben.

The original Weltbühne was so focused on fighting the rising tide of nationalist militarism that its editor died in a Nazi concentration camp. It’s obscene on an intellectual and moral level to leverage that legacy to publish a far right activist and then get shirty about being called out for it.
