The night before my dad's funeral in November, the entire crew of kids and grandkids went out for karaoke. We sang songs that he liked, songs that we liked, and song that reminded us of him. It was a rowdy crazy night.

If the 6% fine doesn’t exist for generating CSAM, what is it there for?

Its not just Musk, the lobbying from the US government towards CnaM and the Irish government has been both subtle and overt. (This language in this state department memo to CnaM is positively insane.) www.thestory.ie/2025/09/03/u...

Take this EU citizen’s initiative for example. On Friday it was just over 50% to its goal for Ireland. After #Speirgorm found it the numbers of signatories jumped by 50% in 2 days.

A networked possibility.

I was delighted to see so many people here that I remembered from Twitter.

But eventually BlueSky too will betray us (this is the nature of companies run for profit).

And we forget at our peril that just having a community here gives us a sort of collective power. It is a potential energy.

Through the Irish courts first, though the facts of a particular case will decide if a reference to CJEU is required.

It's not. Even if the change is coming from a desire to save time/money to do something else, judicial review is an incredibly important right to keep because sometimes it's the only route left to challenge injustice.

If read through that lens, the offering to party members seems to be delivering outcomes that are bad, in the teeth of reasonable opposition, while narrowing the voter base.

I should add, I think that most of the Minister for Justice’s legislative agenda seems to read more as a job application for the post of party leader than considered, long term policy making.

Sure, blocking access to justice will face obvious challenges but he plans not to be holding the bag then.
