Apparently* pregnant sharks move to warmer waters; the theory is this helps the foetuses' development, but I think maybe mama just earned a relaxing break.

At what point does losing 77 billion dollars impact a business? The global box office for all movies, put together, in total, all movies everywhere in 2025 was 33.5 billion dollars. He lost more than double that on “legs”

Nine years ago a Twitter user was sending poetry to Sadiq Khan about London’s many cultural identities. A decade on, Reform UK’s mayoral candidate doesn’t dispute it was her old account - so what’s changed?

Well, if it’s the 122nd anniversary of the birth of Cary Grant, it must be time to tell the story of the time he went to an Alice Cooper concert and likened the experience to shitting himself

It’s the 122nd anniversary of Cary Grant’s birthday so I’m obligated to share Mel Brooks’s beloved Cary Grant story. I don’t think there’s a chat show that he hasn’t told it on but my first and favourite was on Clive James. youtu.be/9QbATFlTaZs?...

I hardly ever remember my dreams, but last night they were full of administrative inconvenience - missing coaches, forgetting to check out of a hotel, paying for coffee with a card and getting a handful of 5p pieces as 'change'. Terrifying stuff.

Found a frying steak in the freezer that clearly wasn't top of the range, so cut it into strips and ate it with tagliatelle, a swirl of olive oil and a big squeeze of lemon juice (garlic bread on the side). Since finishing dinner, I've been having a little lie down.

This photo was taken in 1911 using glass plate technology by Herbert Ponting who was part of Scott's Antarctic expedition,

The composition and detail are exquisite with the band of white snow/ice creating a perfect frame around the two people and the ship in the distance

Iconic imo

Also, what has happened to my literary catalog in 11 years.

#Traitors Jade and Stephen really are wearing the same jeans; Claudia's task jacket is fabulous. (It suddenly occurs to me that she'd be a great replacement for Greg Davies as Taskmaster.) The logistics of getting in and out of boxes seems like a nightmare, but lord knows the Faithfuls need clues.
