I can't believe Nintendo put a fucking comedic relief character into Metroid. The hell are you doing? This was an instant buy, sight unseen purchase for me, now I'm waiting on reviews and how annoying this character potentially is will affect whether I buy it or not. Outlook: Not good.

Saying that you can quit playing Silksong at the start of act 3, or that act 3 is "optional" and if you beat Act 2 you beat the game is an insane statement. It's like saying SOTN ends when you get to the inverted castle.

Downloaded a mobile game called Snowbreak Containment because it looked like the horniest game ever made in youtube shorts and the intro is like a hour long romance novel about some dude with 3 girlfriends and they all love each other and call him darling also there are brief combat sections.

Watched Ghoulies for the first time. Great 80s horror schlock. Not that gory, not that scary, really silly but played straight. 8/10. The ending is also so refreshing compared to modern horror movies that always seem to end in such a hopeless/sad/depressing way.

Warming up a bit more to Black Ops 7 after putting more time into the beta. It'll be interesting to see how they handle skins and stuff because you get a zombie robot as a pre-order, and it's kinda goofy looking rather than cool so it's not a great start to their grounded skins talk.

How could they change the "blame yourself or god" line in FFT. It was so fuckin cold blooded. It was amazing. It's like when they changed "what is a man?" in the SOTN re-releases. Those are iconic lines that shouldn't have been touched in a remake/remaster, regardless of original intent or script.

Black Ops 7 MP is good. At least on par w/ Blops 6 & the wall jump/run does add some nice flanking options. I would turn on the auto-assist though, pressing jump against a wall feels wonky. Maps feel more intuitive with 3 lane design. It feels a little too much like "just another COD" though.

The Switch 2 Dev Kit situation is really pissing me off. Nintendo telling devs to just ship their games on Switch 1 instead because the Switch 2 is backwards compatible is so frustrating. I didn't buy a Switch 2 to play backwards compatible Switch 1 games, I bought it to use the improved hardware.
