I too am sad about Lynch, a brilliant mind lost too soon--
But I have to admit something; normally if I don't enjoy a popular thing I can at least understand why others do, there's usually markers/indicators as to what appeals to the masses...

Finally got around to playing Firewatch. Stayed up all night even.
A. I'm so glad I never let myself watch a play through, this one should be played.

As much as I enjoyed the new one's--the stakes of a magic children's game that must be completed in order to fix everything are not high enough unless said game bleeds into the real world wreaking havoc, rendering destruction and also includes at least one asthmatic rhino

You know what? The time between christmas and new years is peak 'feel like an NPC' time. Our sub routines go into autopilot and the ability to follow any kind of plot is limited to gathering enough beats to feed the pigs down at ol'mr mcready's farm.

Saw lots of hype for 'Carry-On'. So I watched it.
A movie funded by the TSA to try and justify the existence of the TSA, with an overall message of "they're just doing their job, so be nicer please" wasn't what I was expecting, but is what the movie was.
Consider this your realistic expectation.

New Phone I haven't finished setting up, apparently.
I wasn't built to be ripped from sleep at 6am, just to be told that the sun will out-pace the clouds today.
Much like any other poor person throughout history, I was meant to figure out the weather as it happens!

Haven't seen it since 2008, but every once in awhile I think about (and is the only part I remember clearly) the part in Dead Set when Kathleen McDermott says "I was stuck in a room and he did a poo and it stank!" in her thick Scottish accent.

Been a second since I've been on set (what with the slow downs and me normally working in post) -- is it still customary to scream profanities during the first take of the day causing it to fail and thus ensuring the rest of the shoot goes flawlessly?

So, sometimes the horrible thing in the shadows is much much worse when you shine light on it. I am of course referring to the lighting in scary movies and nothing else.
