Two losses. That's the point at which an NHL team must recover to stop the bleeding. Teams with a lot of three-game losing skids often don't make the playoffs.

Kent Hughes said today that David Reinbacher is expected to play Wednesday. Said organization is being overly cautious in managing his knee injury and there was some inflammation and other things they wanted to check out. When asked if they’ll be as cautious in playoffs, said, “We’ll see.”

CBC had the opportunity to offer opinions on how Hockey Canada can improve for the next WJC. Instead they blame parity, the population of the US, and social media pressure for why Team Canada lost. They didn't meet the moment here and it's a shame.

Historically, if a rebuild has a winning season in year 5 that's been a perfect rebuild. (NYR/Chi).

If a rebuild is without a winning season for 8 years, that's normal (Det/Ott).

If the rebuild takes over 10 years, that's a bad rebuild. (Buf).

It's fine to be upset, but that won't change history.
