All those posts saying “don’t talk to cops/ice, tell them you are remaining silent” etc? They all need “even if you are white / have nothing to worry about” added to them. YOU need to do it because you are slowing down the Machine when you are! (please respond this way when you see these posts.)

True. I was conflating it with the Fairness Doctrine and adding in a little sanity of its own… legislating truth is *hard*.
That wouldn’t address the lies. Lies are not an unprotected category of speech. There are specific subcategories of lies that are unprotected (fraud, defamation) but not lies generally.

Can we please just do away with Section 230 already? Media in all forms needs to be liable for lies they post.

@bsky.app needs a way to throttle accounts. Maybe be able to configurably select how many posts to see a day? Certain accounts I follow are awesome, but drown out everyone else by being too prolific.
