The Bluesky discourse is that this place is pretty great outside of a few miserable scolds and lacking some functions that Twitter still has. It's certainly more pleasant, less infested with racist weirdos, and drives more traffic to my writing.

The Pentary Gender Mandala In the modern communes of northern Ra-Om Daksina, a five-gender matrix exists. It is no modern invention: five ancient wisdom kings (vidyarajas) who were locked in bloody war decided to end their peace by pledging to one of the Five Tathagatas that emanate from the Adibuddha. In so doing, they recognized their societal roles within a single body of community, and then began assigning genders according to that. The various northern Ra-Om Daksina cultures (namely Selorong, Idang, Araya, Rekana, Taya) and even some southern Ra-Om Daksina Cultures (namely Agna, Okman, Tezek, Galusatan, Yaung, and Benaluga) have inherited such social norms despite having more of a connection to international trade (where the Binary, Trinary, and Quarternary systems are supreme). Following the Five Tathagatas, each of the genders are adjoined and represented by a Great Element. Above is the usual mandala diagram of the five genders. The Ground, the center, is the Earthgender. All other genders fall around the earthgender. Also known as the Womb-Gender, as it is the gender assigned to them at birth. Ra-Om Daksinan languages are genderless and have no gendered pronouns, as opposed to Bazaar Kyarpan. If needed: Earth is They/Them. Fire and Air are She/Her. Space and Water are He/Him. Earthgender Direction: Center Element: Earth Jobs: Managers, ministers, teachers, mentors, scribes Patient and unassuming people. Cool with their emotions. Often laden with responsibility to lead or to order. Not to rule. Leads just as well as they follow. Often level-headed. Firegender Direction: West Element: Fire Jobs: Warriors, poets, blacksmiths, artists, Passionate and powerful. Emotions running quickly. Sometimes out of control. Possesses the Fury or the Rage. The realm of spirits often imprints upon the firegendered to calcify unseen and occult ideas into pieces of art. Airgender Direction: North Element: Air Jobs: Diplomats, speakers, coordinators, critic, travelers As air expands, so do the airgendered. They are natural diplomats and talkers, socialites. They work to bring tribes and communes together. They hone their dialectic capacity through speech, and are often great logicians and rhetoricians who pick apart arguments and create powerful new ones. Critics are professional tricksters and madmen that poke holes in established order to better it. Spacegender Direction: East Element: Space Jobs: Shamans, priests, monks, clerics, cunningfolk, oracles No place can exist without space for it to fill. Similarly, the tribes of Daksina require priests and shamans and other cunningfolk to exist in the Utter Islands, for the world they live in is the world of spirit. Through the spacegendered they divine the best time to do anything, make offerings to the gods, and find ways to enlightenment out of the Wheel. Watergender Direction: South Element: Water Jobs: Visionaries, philosophers, secretaries, secret keepers, farmers, carpenters, maintenance, pathfinders The backbone of all Daksina culture is water. It is through water they move. It is through water they flourish. The watergendered tend to be those that can handle manual labor, construction, paving new paths and much more. In this way they are aptly named: their labor is the backbone of Daksina tribes and communes. Marriage The common marriage pairs are Fire/Air, Water/Space, and Earth with any. Polygamous relationships that create a Perfect Mandala (one of each gender) are also common but prone to fracturing. Perfect Mandalas often are part of other Perfect Mandalas or other relationships.
