The normal time between No Man's Sky updates is 2-4 months. It's been almost 6 months since the last one. I think they're finally planning the big update to end the game.

I sort of did lose my last job to AI, but it's not the kind of AI everyone is concerned about today - this was back in late 2022. Wonder if I could still do this.

I'm not interested in retro games in general, but I am interested in finding retro games that I would be interested in. In order to do that, I must act somewhat like I am interested in retro games in general. Quite the conundrum.

Why does Branagh like playing Russians so much? Wikipedia doesn't mention any Russian ancestry. Feels like in most of his blockbuster-type work he's playing eastern european guys.

The fairly negative reception of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom among people online depresses me, even if it's not the reception of people in general. The online spheres still have influence, especially if some popular video essay were to get made with that opinion. (cont.)

The other thing about normalizing gAI use in higher ed is that we are teaching our students that they cannot trust their own creativity, their own thoughts and brains, their own skills without having it reshaped/shellacked/transmogrified by LLMs. We’re setting them up for failure and dependence.

The manual for Wario Blast: Featuring Bomberman shows an extremely low level of effort regarding Wario illustrations. Despite Bomberman receiving various different drawings, only one artwork of Wario is used, which is repeated 19 times without any alterations.

There needs to be a full investigation by someone to prove once and for all that calling these people Nazis is not going too far. Trump voters need to see the admiration for Adolf Hitler by the people running the "lesser of two evils" administration that they voted for.
When we say "explicitly neo-Nazi" we mean channels that fly swastikas and praise Hitler. That's the zone of internet where DHS is apparently finding inspiration for their X posts. It's ultra unlikely they would have ever encountered that song if they weren't in that space, imo.
Our researchers found at least 450 posts on Telegram dating back to 2020 that shared the song mentioned in this reporting.
Nearly all the posts we found were from explicitly neo-Nazi and white supremacist channels. And a review of our datasets found it hasn't circulated much outside those circles.

I'm glad Kurt is back but overall I don't have much faith in this. My take on season 1 was probably the most different from the general audience of any piece of media over the last few years, I did not enjoy it much.
You can't enjoy hype moments that much if everything outside of those sucks.

I'm glad Kurt is back but overall I don't have much faith in this. My take on season 1 was probably the most different from the general audience of any piece of media over the last few years, I did not enjoy it much.
You can't enjoy hype moments that much if everything outside of those sucks.

Just posted to Cygames official socials, in multiple languages: a statement on the new Cygames AI tools company, which addresses concerns and says that there will is no generative AI art in any of their products now, and generative AI will not be used in the future without notice.

Did they just give up? That's so lame. There are a ton of ways they could have controlled the narrative. They were already doing better than Concord by having a gameplay-focused trailer, expand on that. Put out a video specifically called "What separates Highguard from other extraction shooters."
