At the risk of repeating myself: there’s no bargaining with these people. What they’re calling for now is mass expulsions of long-term residents deemed insufficiently economically productive. There’s no way these demands won’t get even more extreme by election time.

Here is Pete Hegseth's tweet announcing the return of the Confederate monument to Arlington National Cemetery. The plan is to restore it and reinstall in 2027.

It's important to point out that this monument was never referred to as a "Reconciliation Monument."

DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO GET FOOD AND WATER IN TO GAZA.
This is from Lemkin Institute begging..... we are all begging.
The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention is
calling on every single leader in the world: DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO GET FOOD &
WATER INTO GAZA RIGHT AWAY. Even if it takes bypassing the reports, meetings, endless conferences, parliamentary sessions, UN sessions, and all the other regular diplomatic
channels that have led nowhere. Just do it. Genocide must not be allowed to continue while we all
watch. We must not allow mass starvation in Gaza.
We cannot wait any longer. IF YOU HAVE POWER, USE IT. HISTORY WILL DEMONSTRATE THE RECTITUDE OF
YOUR ACTIONS.

Image of article abstract text reading: This article presents research into trajectories of racially minoritised students to and through antiracist and decolonial activism in Higher Education. For some student antiracist activists, neoliberal equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) agendas provide entry points to antiracist activism which enable them to build knowledge, networks and platforms and make institutional changes, often exceeding these institutional roles to become more independent and radical. This is despite and in tension with the documented limitations of EDI and Student Voice measures of which the activists were well aware. We draw on narrative biographical interviews with racially minoritised undergraduate and postgraduate antiracist activists from seven universities across England, taking a broad understanding of activism to include everyday as well as more spectacular acts of resistance.

Abstract
This article puts forward an analysis of contemporary ‘culture wars’ in the UK,
engaging with these ‘wars’ as fundamentally political and material power struggles
which are largely enacted on the bodies and lives of young people (among others).
Refusing to be drawn in by a widespread scholarly inclination to treat culture wars
as simply ideological disagreements, or as tactical froth and distraction, or as rheto-
ric to be endlessly debated, this article takes its cue from acts of resistance by chil-
dren who fnd themselves at the sharp end of the punitive discipline, disempower-
ment and erasure which is a fundamental outcome of the culture war’s performative
struggles. By engaging with three specifc case studies of youth-led resistance, we
identify and apply the analysis implicit in these acts. Tethering this to the theoretical
resources of cultural studies and a historical perspective on the disciplining func-
tions of educational institutions, we suggest that understanding the current culture
wars as an actual war—on young people and the futurity they represent and on ‘oth-
ers’—is a useful analytic for understanding their cultural and political signifcance
and for developing a political, cultural and analytical response. We conclude by rec-
ognising the coalitional politics that young people manifest, and sometimes literally
articulate, to resist the embodied control and erasure enacted on them. We set this
alongside a recognition of the ongoing trauma that the culture wars impose on them
and society at large.
