I'm 100% certain that the tools exist online for me to be able to do everything I want with the story I'm writing, as there are fun things I'd like to do that would be impossible for a physical or audio book, I just lack the technical know-how to make it happen, and that saddens me.

There's at least one more thunderbolt (with a side of hell opening up) in chapter 17, though I haven't finished that chapter on this reading, so maybe another.
After listening to The Count of Monte Cristo a couple times, I noticed that Dumas uses the phrase "had a thunderbolt struck" or similar to show when people are shocked. On this read through, I'll be counting them here. We're currently at 1 by chapter 10, unless I missed one.

Just found out that, in 1980, Detroit gave a key to the city to Saddam Hussein. I don't know what to do with this information, but now you know it, too.

note: this will turn off hte social/updates/promotions category sorting google has always had. So, the better option is to find another email client and route your gmail to that after you turn it off so that way you can still sort stuff.
