Its not that the media is not covering what is happening, but it does feel like the military occupation of an American city should be treated as a national crisis.

The moral citizens of the US acting like their government is supposed to care.
Those running America have always been able to turn away from morality when it suited the US (e.g. domestic gun laws, actions in Vietnam, South America, Middle East, etc., etc.), it's just far more obvious under Trump.

AOC: This has now become what we feared most about ICE for a long time—that it would be used as an anti-civilian force with no accountability. At the end of the day, what we saw today was a murder, and murders in cold blood need to be prosecuted.
