Samurai Cop. Penguin. Eagle of Fate.
I need to watch but I’m glad to know that. And I’m not shocked it’s great. I just figure it has to be.

Oh I intend to talk a good time on how important she is. I think you can only understand him by knowing she’s his absolute right hand. I think their partnership is the most beautiful fruitful one possible. I mean she became a dame when he was knighted!

It gives everything weight. The film is about grief. A man who is a ghost in his own life metaphorically. Except…not metaphorically. Brilliant film.

Bill Murray was tricked into starring in Lost in Translation by being slipped a contract while he was in an Arby’s and he still won’t acknowledge the film exists

If directors had films in 2001 and 2006, trying to combine them. But like I can’t combine Memento and The Prestige. I don’t care how cliched it is. I want to lose my mind on both. Both are movies I think are perfect.

Nolan’s obsession with time, how memory is a lie, how men abuse and ignore their wives (fascinating when you know who Emma Thomas, his right hand, is), and his wonderful brisk dialogue are all here. There’s so much that’s so great and yeah, no wonder we liked what followed

One of Raimi’s best. Raw. Brutal. Cold. Paxton and Thornton both on fire and they’re still outdone by Fonda
