Switching between overthrowing capitalism and investing in shitty stocks… and dad jokes. If we can’t overthrow it, can we at least improve it by about 75%? (economics types love numbers).

Austerity is a political choice.

UK govt gave £70.6bn tax relief on pension contributions.

63% went to 6m 40%/45% tax rate payers.
37% to 28.1m basic rate taxpayers.

By fixing the relief at 20% for all Govt can reduce inequalities and have £14.5bn spare.

End tax perks of the rich.

Just a reminder that if it wasn’t for the Glazers sucking the economic life out of the club, we would probably be able to build this with very little debt.
Parasitic,inbred, weirdos.
‘Zippos circus is in town!’ Can Man Utd really raise £2bn for a throbbing big top?
Local lad Norman Foster’s plan envisions an enormous canopy over a new stadium and a ‘mixed-use mini-city’. But, given the club’s £1bn debts, the idea seems as flimsy as its own tensile membrane

Why don’t ppl get more upset about this sort of thing!?
It’s perplexing!
Easier to blame immigrants, it seems
This is ludicrous. Massive profits and all that lobbying clearly means more than customer affordability and service!
UK domestic energy prices will rise by inflation-busting 6.4% in April to £1,849 a year on average.

Fuel poverty will increase. People will cut spending elsewhere, derail economic recovery.

UK energy industry made £483bn profit since 2020.

Govt/regulators don't protect people.

Danger ahead. Govt taking powers to 24/7 snoop on bank accounts of benefit recipients, remove money without court order.

England's water industry owned by companies with over 1,100 criminal convictions since 1989.

Examples:
United Utilities 205
Thames Water 187
South West Water 174
Anglian Water 128
Yorkshire Water 125
Southern Water 119

People forced to hand more money to criminals?
Now they are not even fined.
The water industry shows how the state indulges corporations to the detriment of society
Since 1989, water companies have been the subject of over 1,100 criminal convictions, but governments are content for them to control the industry.
