I'm an unapologetic asshole. Sorry about that.

Start naming mass shootings after politicians who take money from the NRA.

The worst part of being an immigrant in the US is having to eat my neighbour's pets and pretend I don't know anything about it.

Amazon could make a killing by adding products that are just reminders.

Add "pick up milk" to your cart, and they'll never let you forget it.

Years later, they'll still say, "Hey, are you still interested in pick up milk?"

Crowdstrike, or birdstrike?

The airports aren't sure.

After seeing my first cyber truck in the wild, all I can assume is that the people who own them really *really* love minecraft.

Well, that, and they're dicks.

While it might be easy to mock Maga assholes for their anger in this moment, take some time to remember that that anger is actually coming from a place of profound weakness, and we should be sure to mock them for that too.

I'm insanely jealous of people who only have 99 problems.

Just checked my DMs for that dose of grounding reality, only to find I don't even have them.

Even Bluesky knows it's wasted on me.

This is the best analogy for the election I've seen so far.

People have faults, and these two candidates definitely do.

One currently defending himself against his previous criminal actions is the worst person to lead a country. Figuratively, or not.

He absolutely can't be allowed another shot.
I'm so sick of people who act like salmonella is a delicious salad topping simply because E.coli exists.

100% in agreement with this.
I am convinced that the worst thing about the internet is that it allowed people who historically would have been considered the worst person in town and totally ostracized for their perpetual bad vibes and opinions to find out that they have thousands of global allies and after that it was so over.

Cinco de Mayo in Berkeley, and I've got no idea where the best spots are.

I've only been in the Bay area a short while, and I feel absolutely at a loss.

This year's schedule has worked out for me, but my lack of local knowledge is turning out to be a bigger issue.

Ay de mí.

This is unbelievable. Greatest country in the world. Unless you're poor, black, or female.

The horror of being all three isn't appreciated by people with white skin who have the justice system biased in their favour.

Incarceration is the end goal, and the punishment continues even after release.
Florida is charging formerly incarcerated people $50 a day even if they’re no longer in prison. The “pay to stay” fee is based on the length of the original sentence, so even when they're released they must keep paying for a prison bed they’re not using. www.abcactionnews.com/news/local-n...
Pay to stay: Florida inmates charged for prison cells long after incarceration
It's a common saying: You do the crime, you do the time. But when people are released from prison, freedom is fragmented. It marks the start of new hardships, impacting families and communities.

The downside of being super intermittent with social media is that when I get back on and catch up on my feed, I always feel like a stalker.

I probably shouldn't do it while hiding in a tree, I guess.

Joe Leiberman, to me, always had the demeanor of a Muppet that Jim Henson couldn't bear to use anymore.

So it sat, crumpled, dejected, and soulless.

This helps understand why news organizations are frustrating void of real journalistic integrity.
The media are collectively in a race for one lucky outlet to be anointed as the sole state propaganda machine when a dictator is finally "elected." Only then can they all rest.
