SCOTUS agreed to hear this case before it even finished in the lower courts. When a case helps the conservative (religious) agenda, they jump in early. When it’s voting rights, gun safety, or LGBTQ protections, they say it’s “too soon.” Religious freedom isn't being attacked, the rule of law is.

You know, apropos of nothing in particular, and although I haven't researched it yet, I strongly suspect that a president starting a foreign war to distract from his extensive ties with child sex traffickers is probably a high crime or misdemeanor under the Constitution's impeachment clauses.

You have to understand that, in trump’s mind, granting “asylum” means putting someone in a mental institution. Nobody has bothered to correct him when he implies that, which he has done frequently.

A reminder: Trump 1.0 ordered the Afghanistan withdrawal, and Trump 2.0 granted the shooter asylum this past April. Trump 2.0 also dismantled the joint terrorism task force, and gutted our national security apparatus.

181 public libraries in Tennessee are reviewing their children’s collections after Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett (R) ordered them to remove books with LGBTQ themes or characters. Hargett suggested that libraries that made such books available violated federal and state law.

I wish the Comey and James cases had been dismissed because there are no grounds for these revenge cases. They were dismissed on a technicality in essence, so this is not the end I fear.

On November 19, Robert Kennedy Jr., a man who is not a doctor or a scientist, personally forced the CDC to post scientifically false information about vaccines and autism on the CDC website. This was political actors overriding science in a place where accuracy, integrity, and honesty save lives.
