Reading the Japanese FFIX manual and parsing "trance" as "trans" because it's written the same way in katakana.
"A character's Trans Power builds through attacks from enemies, and when it's full, their body will begin to shine and they'll go Trans."

Sure it's been commented on before, but the back of the Japanese box to Final Fantasy IX is sort of lovely. Barely attempts to outline the story or setting at all, and text sounds more like the introduction to a wee storybook or something. Very much fits the fairytale-y feel to the game.

Barely know Gundam, and have only really watched Witch From Mercury. But the idea of a traditional PS2 RPG where the characters pilot tiny Mobile Suits was appealing somehow, so I bought recently. Is it good? I dunno. Will I play? Definitely.
