We have a librarian, for the first time in a decade. But, she's retiring at the end of the year. A few of us parents help with the library, but we can only do so much not being school employees with full access to the system.
The school my kids go to doesn't have a librarian anymore because the board wasn't given enough funding for it. It's ok because in all Conservative heads they think books are never borrowed and if they do they magically return to their spots on the shelf.
Just think how much money they can save when they eliminate teachers and librarians in the name of empowering every child to do their own research!

Went skiing for the first time in over a decade yesterday. The skills were rusty, but slowly came back. I can still walk 16 hours later, so all in all, a good day!
(Kids had lessons so I though, might as well ski with them before I can't even dream of keeping up with them.)

The forecasters have all seem to be completely off for the #yegwx the past two days. They all agree there will be snow, but not the temperatures.
