Not the best perhaps, but from the Penguins sketch, "Would Rutherford ever have split the atom if he hadn't tried? Could Marconi have invented the radio if he hadn't by pure chance spent years working at the problem?"
What’s the best all time Monty Python bit?*

Because One BC, a party *zero* people voted for, has two elected MLAs they’re entitled to about $700,000 of our tax dollars to do racism and lunacy.

Also? My kid’s school has no money for field trips.

As a political scientist, I think the effects on unity are some of the biggest problems with the agreement. It legitimates "Alberta" as an aggrieved party, distinct from other provinces, while treating BC and its peoples to be as issues to be managed, rather than partners in the federation.

What she said, eh.
And what does the science say? It is clear. We must phase out fossil fuels not for the sake of the planet, but to ensure a livable future for us all. And "all" includes the inhabitants of those countries who prevented this phrase from being included in the final agreement.

How is this kind of pattern of increase sustainable? What are the key performance indicators that the VPD are held to?

In an interview this week, Ken Sim said that he had a list of all the times he said no to the Vancouver Police Department, and said a lot of their budget increases were out of the city's control.

We got the list. We looked at the budget.

Here is a fact check.

@brittlestar.com I don't like using profanity online. But the very useful term "Dumb Effery" - in its original form - is powerful. I think it needs a unit of measure. E.g. "that was 200 Mega Joules of Dumb Effery." Any ideas?

About half an hour ago, I got my turn to talk at City Hall Vancouver regarding the draft (very drafty i.e. howling wind through the gaps drafty) budget. I was 219 on the list. About 400 to go.
