I went into Bahrisons in Khan market yesterday and saw a stack of these on the counter. Apparantly Santanu Battacharya was there signing books and just left. A novel about three generations of gay men in one family in India. The first 2 chapters are great. #queerliterature #LGBTbooks #queerindia

Not sure what posessed me to go paint at India gate at holiday time. Was mobbed by schoolkids who were cute until the groups got bigger and bigger and then they started pushing each other to see and eventually knocked my easel over. Pretty happy with the painting though. #pleinair #watercolor

Painted again in Lodi Garden Delhi. Safander Lodi’s tomb (the second last before the Mughals). Was very fast and pretty focused. I left out the hedge though and now think I shouldnt have. #watercolor #watercolour #aquarelle #enpleinair #gayartist #pleinair #lgbtqartist #pleinairpainting #queerart

I just learned that around the corner from our Czech Embassy there once stood this beautiful and beloved brutalist Chanakya cinema from 1970. Torn down in 2017 to make way for a luxury mall that caters to the most ostentatiously wealthy, valet-parking Delhi “elite”. @brutalismbot.com

Watching The Room Next Door and Almodovar obviously had her fall down in this scene just so he could recreate this Wyeth painting. I love when directors do this.

After seeing Nosfteratu in Prague I went to see it again here in New Delhi. Was funny to see that the aindian censors had added digital black shorts to the woman in this scene in addition to blacking out Orlok’s d*ck and cutting a lot of the sex.
