Looking for the lost city of El Dorado - aka a social platform that’s fun again. Could this be it?

I just watched #Supernova finally and whilst it was utterly beautiful, I’m going to need to find something else before bed so I don’t just cry myself to sleep

Quick question - when does this bastard cold finally pack up and F off? It’s been here a week like a family member who hangs around too long after Christmas

It’s good this is happening but social care and palliative care have long needed attention.

Commissions come and make recommendations… things change a a glacial pace if at all

Good support as we get older and face conditions that rob us of the old ages we’d like to have is important.
The Guardian can reveal MPs are also preparing to announce a new independent commission on palliative care – spearheaded by the Labour MP Rachael Maskell – which they are hopeful will get backing from the health secretary, Wes Streeting.

I was wondering what was going to keep us entertained after the Tory Leadership race and the US election finished.

But it seems ‘Britain’s got a new Archbishop of Canterbury’ is just getting started

@robinince.bsky.social as my favourite book expert. Can I pick your brains? If you were getting someone a second hand book by an old economist would you go for one from 1840 in decent nick and obviously old. Or folio society reprint in 3 massive volumes? Folio are so pretty but age before beauty?

Having done all the food shopping ahead of cooking a second Christmas dinner this month, this time for my mum who I am hosting - it sort of feels like I’ve become the responsible grown up of the family 😬

Listening to @nataliehaynes.bsky.social standing up for Demeter makes me want to put on the beautiful and haunting Proserpina by Kate McGarrigle & Martha Wainwright.

Equally poignant as it was one of the last songs she wrote before she died.

Happy Fake Christmas Morning.

The boy is off to Italy for Christmas and as he hates his birthday I’ve decided turn today into fake Christmas.

So yes, I will be cooking a full three course Christmas dinner

Upgraded my phone and as a result have been signed out of the toxic bird app, which refuses to log me back in.

I think that might be the final goodbye.
