And one more: In Canada, the total number of wildfire evacuees is trending up, alongside wildfire burn area. It’s not a perfect correlation, but some obvious connections between these two metrics.

Furthermore, 2025 ranks 2nd for area burnt at this time of year (in this 13 year record). All indications are pointing to this being another bad fire year for Canada.
