If you’re canceling subscription services with giant companies with ties to terrible people, you should think about replacing them with a library card. Many library systems give you access to physical media (some of which you can’t find on streaming!) as well as other great stuff.

Bad Indians Book Club by Patty Krawec isn’t just a collection of book reviews, it’s a powerful weaving of story, memory, critique, and myth. Krawec shows how books are never neutral; they shape worlds, challenge silences, and invite us to read with intention.

Such a reflective moment in my teaching career, and tomorrow, I will be acknowledged at the RCS School Board Meeting. As Bluesky has become my educational platform, I want to thank every educator who crossed my path. We know great teachers build upon great teachers. I could not be me without you!

Highly recommend "In the Shadow of the Ivory Tower: How Universities Are Plundering Our Cities" by Davarian L. Baldwin.

If you live in a city with a big college, you will notice what author Hattie Whitehead describes in her book & musical about Linnentown— universities taking more and more land.
