In fact, it is criminalisation that allows contaminants such as nitrazines to cause so much fatality. It also inhibits routine substance testing which could save thousands of lives a year.

2022, I took a phot of a waterfall and just happened to capture 3 rangers in the park. About 10 minutes later, one of them stopped me from running into a bear that was in a bush just off the path I was on. Yosemite is immense, and 3 rangers is not a lot.
