It’s gotten to the point where I assume anyone with a U.S. flag on their person, place or vehicle is going to possess unwelcome opinions about my life choices.

Park seven of twelve posted up - Robert Clemens Bucher Park. It's staying warm outside this October so I have a good chance of remote work from all of them before the end of the calendar year.

The world may not be great right now, but at least my workday includes this doofy chonk
An orange cat is lying on a person's lap, appearing relaxed. One hand gently holds the cat while the other rests on a gaming keyboard and mouse on a desk. The setting is cozy and casual.

Well this is admirably concise and direct by Germany's justice ministry.

"Chat control without cause must be taboo in a state governed by the rule of law. Private communication must never be under general suspicion."

This is what Dems are drawing attention to and want fixed. Now, not later.

Judge Immergut - Since you're going to keep trying to get around my order by pulling National Guard from other states, this order encompasses ALL states.

DOJ: We'd like a stay pending appeal.

After the scouts got their turn at the BB rifle range yesterday the parents got a few minutes before cleanup to fire at fresh targets. And while it’s not really a fair comparison, it does feel really good to knock out the center of a bullseye at 10 feet like a carnival game.
Two official BB shooting targets are displayed side by side. The target on the left shows multiple bullet holes, with some close to the center. The target on the right has fewer holes but features a significant tear in the center.

Today’s local park, dedicated to a township supervisor who was a local advocate for open space in the seventies.
A bronze plaque mounted on a stone pedestal honors Robert Clemens Bucher, recognizing his dedication to preserving open space and the history of Lower Salford Township. It mentions his roles on the Lower Salford Township Board of Supervisors.

All Voice of America programming has ceased today. Four of the 48 language services still had skeletal output after the Kari Lake/DOGE purge. During previous government shutdowns most broadcasts were not halted and VOA operations were considered essential.

Today, Congress failed its fundamental duty to fund our government — a responsibility enshrined in Article 1 of the Constitution. This failure to lead lies solely with the Republican majority.
Republicans control the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives. It is their duty to govern and craft a budget that supports our nation’s economic, physical, mental, and civic health. We Democrats have stood ready to do just that.
Instead, three times this fiscal year, the Congressional Republicans proposed a temporary budget in service of President Trump — who fomented the last government shutdown, the longest in our nation’s history.
Even more appalling is the fact that House Republicans are nowhere to be seen, at home or vacation. The failed leadership of Speaker Mike Johnson telling his members not to return to Washington.
Now, our military must serve without pay, essential federal agencies must work without adequate staffing, and our global standing is further diminished.
I’m fighting to ensure that nearly 20,000 of my constituents don’t lose their healthcare as a result of Republicans’ cruel cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act.
I urge every one of my colleagues to fight for a budget that reflects our values — one that lowers costs; strengthens healthcare; and supports America’s families, businesses, and children.
