Something that hasn't been made clear: Firefox will have an option to completely disable all AI features.
We've been calling it the AI kill switch internally. I'm sure it'll ship with a less murderous name, but that's how seriously and absolutely we're taking this.

Still playing Sekiro but my progress in that got me to return to Elden Ring just to see if I could beat Margit without magic. Well I used the ashes but that's like stealth in Sekiro intended part of the experience. Even if you can do it without it.

I'm still in awe that one can play a mega-grognard WH40K CRPG like Rogue Trader on a Nintendo handheld AND play SaGa remasters on PC. Not to mention Chinese RPGs now getting official English releases.

It seems like there's a disconnect between the people who call the shots at game studios and their audiences. They don't see the problems and danger with Gen AI because their jobs aren't in danger of being replaced and they want to cut costs as much as possible.

I hate AI and I am sad that Larian is using it, but feels knee-jerk and downright rude to immediately throw the past 30 years of Swen's work into the trash like some are doing... Dude stayed independent and pursuing his old-school RPG passion while the industry collapsed, he is devoted to his art :/

Lives are a holdover mechanic from the days of arcade games. When developers started to think about their games as truly console games/PC games lives disappeared. But I wonder is there a way to incorporate lives in an interesting way that doesn't feel archaic.

I wish Clair Obscur could've just been a cool video game without loud annoying people (on both sides let's be fucking real here) turn it into some culture war over the purity of fucking JRPGs.

Embracer is not going to give this game the budget it deserves so why even bother? I think gamers could do with leaving their comfortzone, play a game on mouse + keyboard and on PC for once in their life. Not everything needs to be delivered to you conveniently on console with the latest graphics

Conspiracy theorist believe in some wild shit like ancient aliens, alien abductions, hollow earth, lizard people, demon etc. Could you imagine how different our world would be if any of that was real? You wouldn't be able to hide that, we know Bigfoot doesn't exist because we can't find his shit!

One day I will write my "J.K. Rowling is a fucking idiot this is how you do world building with magic n' shit" work. You cannot convince me that it is reasonable to believe a magical world can be sequestered away from mortals so the work can be a power fantasy for the reader/viewer.
