MAGA people lining up wanting the taxpayers to give them money. Trump wants $10 billion. Lindsey wants $1 million. J6ers want money. Farmers want money. Of course CEOs want their contracts,
subsidies & tariff waivers. It’s griftapalooza at taxpayer expense for the gangsters.

tbh i don't know how i would have learned about the effectiveness of resistance against ICE if it were not for stancil's posts. I think that's true for a lot of people.

Trump's number one priority has been to make the wealthy, wealthier—it has never been the millions of young Americans looking to buy their first home.

He’s giving the middle finger to our youngest generation. @democrats.senate.gov are focused on making homeownership possible for everyone.
Trump: "People that own their homes -- we're gonna keep them wealthy. We're gonna keep those prices up. We're not gonna destroy the value of their homes so that somebody who didn't work very hard can buy a home."

My @mprnews.org colleague & I rode along with observers after the Twin Cities surge at the start of December, well before most national publications came to town. It was really necessary to get at what ICE is really doing on the ground & how people are opposing it.

This feels like the very least Democrats should be rallying around?

“We need to rip ICE down to the studs and start over,” Senator Tina Smith of Minnesota writes. “In the wake of this catastrophe, there is no reason we can’t come up with a way of enforcing our laws that doesn’t trample on our values and our Constitution.”
Opinion | Senator Tina Smith: I Won’t Vote to Fund ICE Until It Gets Out of My State
Minnesotans have stood up for common decency and our founding principles.

yup - natural fibers burn to ash - cotton, wool, silk. I've never tried burning linen, but i would guess that it also burns to ash.

Well, Tina Smith said she will not be running for re-election in 2026, so there's going to be an open seat for MN ...
