It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

It's my birthday and I came upon this wonderful poem today. What a wonderful reminder that there is always beauty around, even during these troublesome times.

Today I signed my intent to retire paperwork. April 1st will be my last day; 24 1/2 years in 911. It is time.

Today I signed my intent to retire paperwork. April 1st will be my last day; 24 1/2 years in 911. It is time.
Our little guy Cale was attacked by a raccoon this morning. Four of his five puncture wounds needed staples. Thankfully it wasn't worse. He home resting peacefully.
