As someone who lived through the 90s, I genuinely do not understand the Oasis excitement.

I spend so much time and energy dealing with bullshit from terrible maga people. I don't have the energy for that kind of energy on my left, too. If you don't like candidates perceived as centrist, I get it. But when people get vicious, I tune them out: Trauma response.
It just seems hostile and angry, and I feel like a child in an unhappy household right now. Everyone is yelling and I just want to cry all the time. I just want someone to project calm and persuade me that they have a good plan.

Reading through a Mayor Pete post about healthcare is just countless people screaming genocide and trans rights at him. As a brown person, I am sympathetic to the Palestinian cause, and as a human, I am sympathetic to trans rights, and I don't think these folks are helping their cause.

The problem is too many people have a vested interest in the problems being unsolved. It isn’t because we haven’t invented smarter than human AI. When we do, we’ll ignore it too.
