I dug through three articles (Alec Lewis/Dianna Russini at the Athletic, Kevin Siefert at ESPN, and Matthew Coller at Purple Insider) to compare their notes on the Kwesi Adofo-Mensah firing and try to get to the bottom of it. Here are my thoughts.

The Vikings made four moves for their coaching staff on Saturday, hiring former Dolphins OC Frank Smith as assistant head coach while promoting Keith Carter to the OL coach job.

On defense, they hired Ryan Nielsen as their DL coach and brought in Gerald Alexander to replace Daronte Jones.

Asked specifically about QB ....

Wilf: "Not necessarily a fair thing to talk about any one decision and that's the way we approach it. It's a body of work. ... I know our fans feel it and our entire organization feels we need to get to a better place and this is strictly an ownership ... decision"

Vikings ownership met multiple times after the season and met again this week before making the call to fire Adofo-Mensah. Wilf said they wanted to be "methodical" and not make a "knee-jerk" decision. Cited "entirety of last few years" and KAM's "body of work."

Little insight offered from co-owner Mark Wilf on firing GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, but he did reference 8 (+comp) draft picks. We know KAM didn't draft well.

Wilf: "Excited here about the possibilities with the draft capital we now have... We need young players that we can build on for the future."

The #Vikings will have a new offensive line coach next year: the team said Chris Kuper will not be retained after his contract expired.

Kuper had been with the Vikings since 2022; the team said its search for a replacement is underway.

Fewest team passing yards, 2025:

NYJ vs DEN, Week 6: -10
GB @ MIN, Week 18: -7
MIN vs DET, Week 17: 3
NYG vs MIN, Week 16: 13

Hilarious football team. If the Vikings had made the playoffs I predict that Max Brosmer would have turned in a -17 passing yards performance.

C.J. Ham and Andrew Van Ginkel ruled out for Vikings at Chargers on Thursday night

Five questionable, including both starting tackles. Christian Darrisaw said Sunday evening 'we'll see.' Needed to sit out today's walkthrough.

Blake Cashman’s return leads to another change in Vikings defense: benching Ivan Pace Jr.
Inside linebacker Blake Cashman's return stabilized the Vikings run defense, while their hobbled offensive tackles played the whole game.

Vikings back at practice today. Good sign for Andrew Van Ginkel, who was in full pads warming up with the team.

Did not see much from QB drills, but Carson Wentz worked most with center Blake Brandel during exchange period. McCarthy worked mostly with Michael Jurgens and Joe Huber.

Vikings practicing in London right now

Of note: C Michael Jurgens watching practice with sleeve on left leg ... No Ryan Kelly (concussion), so Blake Brandel is at center in practice

Did not see Christian Darrisaw, but coaches turned today into a walkthrough and he typically gets time off midweek

The Vikings will be without edge rusher Andrew Van Ginkel on Sunday, but are hoping to see J.J. McCarthy back on the practice field in London next week.

Pending tape review, but some initial thoughts.

* Defense was pretty good imo. They prevented the Bears from playing on script basically ever. There were a couple of decent chunks but they were few and far between. Most stuff was offscript
* Loading the box really helped with run D, which was good.
