I think you're thinking of Jared Goff. (And Farmer had already been fired by then. The #Browns GM was the infamous Sashi Brown.) Teddy didn't even throw at the Combine. www.cleveland.com/browns/2016/...
Browns' Pep Hamilton throws water on Jared Goff's Pro Day
Browns top offensive assistant Pep Hamilton surprised Cal quarterback Jared Goff by making him throw a wet football at the end of his Pro Day scripted workout.

Teddy never played for the Browns, but yeah, that was what I was talking about. The study Banner commissioned that recommended picking Bridgewater. (Banner was gone by the draft that year, and that WAS the Manziel year.)

For most of my life, my parents moved every ten years or so. They really pared down their clutter. (They were probably traumatized by Mom’s mother, who had hoarder tendencies.)

Way ahead of you on this...

I don't think it's coincidence that Progressive -- based in the Cleveland area -- draws on a lot of former #Browns quarterbacks for the ads.

For YEARS after I graduated, I would have a recurring dream that I dropped Dr. Chen's World War II history class (which I actually did), but didn't do the paperwork right, so I had to sit for the final exam without ever taking the class.

“If I were going to storm a pillbox, going to sheer, utter, certain death, and the colonel said, ‘Shepherd, pick six guys,’ I’d pick six White Sox fans, because they have known death every day of their lives and it holds no terror for them.”

But Leifer really loved the concept, and he ended up using it in 1980 for Time Magazine.

My favorite Leifer story: Tex Maule convinced his editor at SI that it was a foregone conclusion that the Colts would beat the Browns in the 1964 NFL Championship Game. Leifer took this picture well in advance of the game. The Browns won a major upset, so the photo was scrapped…

I watched the NFL game until Baltimore really started to run away with it. Then I watched "Network." Like Beetlejuice said of "The Exorcist," it gets funnier every time I watch it.

I can't remember who it was, but someone once said that the New York Daily News is for people whose lips move when the read. The Post is for editors whose lips move when they read.
