As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that we’d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family.

I’m still thinking about Del Toro’s Frankenstein. Visually stunning, worth seeing in theaters. I want to be up close and personal with the costumes.

I spent two hours after work in a rapid response training and didn’t expect to sob afterward. While it was emotional,
I learned what I needed to keep myself and others safe. I know what to do in an instance to support and protect those in need.

I watched House last night, and it was a fever dream of a horror flick. It was like watching a dream sequence that had shockingly gory death scenes.

The US had $174 billion in agricultural exports in 2023 and these exports supported 1 million US jobs. We aren’t going to make that up with extra US demand.

CPAC is officially a Nazi rally. Pass it on.
Following Elon Musk, the world's richest man, two speakers at CPAC, Steve Bannon, who was pardoned by Donald Trump, and Mexican actor Eduardo Verástegui, have now given Nazi salutes.

This is a major scandal + should push us all to mobilize, protest, and call out #CPAC for what it is: a Nazi rally.

Super impressed with The Grand Cinema today at volunteer orientation. The emphases on DEI and how to be inclusive for all was incredible. I also learned a few things and appreciate that so much. Excited to get in and start volunteering. @thegrandcinema.bsky.social

The sole reason to destroy OSHA is the exploitation of workers.

Without OSHA they can make you work in highly unsafe conditions (which can be made safe, but that costs $$) and fire you for refusing to be unnecessarily harmed. Every life and limb protected by OSHA is a success being unwritten today
1. OSHA has ordered the digital and physical destruction of 18 publications on workplace safety practices, according to an email obtained by Popular Information.

The email says the publications have been removed from the web and tells staff that physical copies should be "disposed of or recycled"

With Red Alder this weekend I’m masking.
A not gentle reminder:
Influenza is AIRBORNE
Tuberculosis is AIRBORNE
Measles is AIRBORNE
COVID is AIRBORNE

YES, wash your hands.
But also wear a MASK.
You can’t wash the air you breathe.

I’m not sure who you THOUGHT you were following, but on this account we uplift and celebrate marginalized voices, including books written by black authors. (and that’s all year ‘round folks).

If you think about it, DOGE is basically a digital, 21st century SS. You don’t need to burn books, you just delete them. You don’t need to go door to door looking for disloyal citizens, you just download the Treasury database.
