The only thing weirder than this many drones flying over my town would be this many planes flying over my town silently at the same altitude.

It reminds me of how the FBI and the gov responded to Havana Syndrone, where they sort of addressed an adjacent aspect, where in effect, it minimizes the concern. Folks have seen unusual drones and other craft. Most people are not able to correctly identity aircraft.
