The Disquieting Muses was painted during World War I, when De Chirico was in Ferrara. The Castello Estense,[5] near which de Chirico lived, is in the background, rust-red and among industrial buildings. At the front are the two Muses, dressed in classical clothing. One is standing and the other sitting, and they are placed among various objects, including a red mask and staff, an allusion to Melpomene and Thalia, the Muses of tragedy and comedy. The statue on a pedestal in the background is Apollo, leader of the Muses.[4]

So funny, I never understood why people said his delivery was "wooden". Turns out his German dubbing actor was fantastic!! German Keanu would have gotten Oscars! When I saw "Dracula" in the original years later, I kinda got it, but weirdly it made me love him even more!
Keanu was not great in that movie but director and star Kenneth Branagh didn't need him to be great in that movie, he needed him to be hot and occasionally shirtless in that movie, and Keanu delivered on that brief and then some

26) A movie: Jeunet and Caro’s The City of Lost Children. It’s an experiment in how many genres can we stuff into a movie and also in getting Ron Perlman to speak French. It almost succeeds at both and I couldn’t love it more.

Should not be the main or only reason, I agree absolutely! But is is still important to talk about that -- not necessarily because of the detrimental effect on cis women per se, but to clearly show how ridiculous, unfounded and harmful transphobia is for ALL women, 1/2
