They're literally throwing people (a lot of them kids), who were born in the US, in cages for being "immigrants" because their parents came from a different country. Despite them legally being US citizens.
"Everyone is an immigrant" just gives ICE more justification to carry on kidnapping kids.

No, we're not. By definition someone has to have travelled from one country to another to live to be an immigrant. People might be descended from immigrants, but that isn't the same as *being* an immigrant. I'd say labelling everyone as immigrants doesn't help the argument against ICE either.

The descendants of enslaved Africans would like a word. Why are we always erased in this narrative? We can laud immigrants without ignoring the millions of Black people who built this country.

Black Americans are not immigrants. They were brought here against their will.

Except for the indigenous peoples, we are all immigrants.
That is something everyone would do well to always remember.
