Some problems have simple solutions. This new “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education” is one. The answer is simply saying no.

Simple does not mean easy. But Brown, Dartmouth, MIT, Vanderbilt, Univ of AZ, UPenn, USC, UT Austin & UVA must understand what they’ll lose if they sign on.

My kid still asks me about the book I was going to write in 2020 during my sabbatical that I didn't write BECAUSE THERE WAS A GLOBAL PANDEMIC AND I HAD CANCER. He is infinitely amused when I get angry at him for mentioning it.

The only game I've owned from that list is Skyrim. But I've also been an almost 100% Nintendo gamer since I got my NES in 1988. JRPGs are so much better than first-person shooters or stealing cars IMO.
