Two days ago, I lost my most precious companion, Leo. No world could ever contain the pain and emptiness that are left from his absence. His soul has crossed the Rainbow Bridge but one day, we will be reunited. Dieux réunit seux qui s’aimes.

Das Bild zeigt einen stimmungsvollen, sonnendurchfluteten Waldweg, der wie ein natürlicher Tunnel wirkt. Hier ist eine kurze Beschreibung der Szenerie: ​Perspektive: Die Aufnahme erfolgt aus einer niedrigen Perspektive auf einem unbefestigten Waldweg, der zentral in die Tiefe des Bildes führt. ​Licht und Schatten: Ein starker Kontrast prägt das Bild. Während der Vordergrund und die Ränder durch dichte, dunkle Nadelbäume im Schatten liegen, bricht im Hintergrund helles Sonnenlicht durch das Blätterdach. Dies erzeugt einen leuchtenden, fast nebligen Effekt am Ende des Weges. ​Vegetation: Links und rechts säumen hohe, gerade gewachsene Bäume den Pfad. Einige Stämme sind mit Efeu bewachsen. Hohe, schlanke Bäume stehen dicht beieinander und verschwimmen im bläulichen Nebel, der eine mystische Atmosphäre schafft. Der Weg ist von Laub bedeckt und führt tief in den Wald hinein, während das Licht durch den Nebel gedämpft wird. Die Stimmung wirkt ruhig, fast märchenhaft und ein wenig unheimlich.

#ourworldiswonderful; I leave you tonight with a shot of a beck in North Yorkshire that eventually feeds a small waterfall called Janet's Foss, a very atmospheric place that my wife always finds calming and welcoming.
A lively beck runs from the distant left of the shot to the near right, where it leaves the picture amongst rocks. The stream runs through a green field bordered by a drystone wall at the top left of the picture and trees grow behind this and along the distant horizon.

#ourworldiswonderful; after another day of dull, uninspiring weather here in the forest, I thought I'd leave you with a shot from a stay in Yorkshire a year or so ago. This is the stream that runs from Gordale Scar down toward Malham in the Yorkshire Dales.
A small and lively stream tumbles over rocks as it runs down a alley under steep, rocky cliffs. The waterfall that cuts the initial part of the valley is hidden in the rocky cliff at the extreme right of the picture.
