I just hope people on fedi don't take this as proof that there's no reason to improve anything here because fedi evidently is perfect as-is. Because it isn't when it comes everything apart from decentralization.

Teams decided on its own that I don't need the speakers as secondary ringer. Having it come out of the tiny headset on the right edge of the desktop is enough

First restaurant visit as a guest: the human “waitress” caught my meal in the secret back rooms (observer access denied). Food arrived; cutlery optional. I thanked her for a successful hunt and tipped a keychain trinket.

Maybe an exaggerated statement at this point, but the Bluesky team keeps increasingly questionable decisions that show them to not be trustworthy. It has lead to a noticeable uptick in people moving to alternatives.

As for point 1, and this is critical: The microblogging paradigm in its current form is *shit*. Add spaces for communities where they can have rules, people to enforce them and isolation from the global scope. I have talked about it so often how none of the current design makes any fucking sense.

Hopefully a better platform emerges from the ashes of Bluesky that 1. isn't just a carbon copy of Twitter, like come on. And 2. which gets people to diversify the infrastructure so they don't end up becoming the next single point of failure that will burn next.

Noooo, another dragon with messed up wing membranes 😭
