people are extremely ready to put everyone but the sex offenders on the sex offender registry. we know who the predators are and some people will, consciously or unconsciously, project that onto anyone else instead, to create an external villain rather than one granted power in their communities.

I worked in a live bait one. Worst job in my life, but that was more due to management and the poor construction of the building. We had a singular (residential) toilet located in our back area that's a blind spot, so we kept it locked for our own safety unless a customer asked to use it.
