We’ve been on a journey to close the gap of fragmented workflows, lost credit, and disconnected tools. Our new platform turns scattered outputs into dynamic, connected and reusable research components.

Here at Curvenote, we’ve been on a journey to create systems and workflows that reimagine scientific communication and collaboration. Over the last five years, we’ve been focused on a universal problem: science is advancing faster than the systems we use to organize and share it.

“The end of NSF and American science expertise as we know it is here,” wrote Paul Bierman, a geomorphologist at the University of Vermont, on Bluesky. 🧪

🚨 The Trump administration is attempting to seize power beyond what the Constitution allows—giving Elon Musk, an unelected billionaire, unchecked influence.

As a federal scientist, expert, or civil servant, you have rights. Don’t let them bully you.

To put this in perspective, $288M is only 0.07% of Musk’s current net worth. Yes, definitely “on the cheap”.

With 17 days to go until the US takeover by the new Trump (or Musk?) administration, I thought it might be worthwhile to share a number of recent papers published by our team that counter arguments that have been leveled against misinformation research. 1/n

We spent the past year analyzing and rebuting arguments that have been launched against misinformation research. In my view, those arguments are important to make, but perhaps even more important to rebut because, as we show, they don’t always withstand critical scrutiny.

So here we go: 4/n

At the beginning of my career (late 80s), I built a radiative transfer model to understand the implications of decreased ozone in springtime over Antarctica; MS with the great Conway Leovy. Really amazing to visualize this now in so much detail!

More than 90% of fossil fuel emissions occurred since my parents were born.
Over 80% since I was born.
Over 30% since my children were born.

And well over 50% since the world agreed at the Rio Earth Summit to prevent dangerous climate change. And I thought: „At last!“

TIL that you do occasionally get TWELVE-sided snowflakes, when two six-sided ones collide in the right way and stick together. They seem to stick at a suspiciously perfect angle!
