i generally recommend that people start with dragon next door. but yeah, whisperer is 1

at least my kid is still masking. (mostly. she's got to take it off to eat. i wish i could convince her to take the personal hepa to school)

hahahaha my kid's teacher is out sick with "the cold going around the school" and i want to fucking scream myself to death. why have we decided being sick all the time and giving it to everyone else is acceptable? (it's probably not a cold, it's probably covid 🙃)

Dragon Whisperer is first in series (but also the weakest of my books as it's the first I published), Dragon Next Door is a standalone related to the series, Necromancer is my Nebula-winning kids book, also a standalone

Anyway one mildly annoying thing about chronic illness is that if you DO take a sick day, people assume you 'caught something' rather than your own health conditions being, say, unstable things that can suddenly worsen. :(

I wish chronic illness was static! My life would be easier! But!

goooood morning it is brisk and sometimes bright, sometimes ominous out there but that didn’t slow us down at all and you know it: Lucy Loved That Walk
Big fluffy black and tan husky mix with bright blue eyes, smiling at the end of a leash beside a sidewalk scattered with fall leaves.

Gods it rained off and on all evening. I really wish the organizers had cancelled this. I didn't make table and it was a low fee split with a friend 😬

Getting to show you all this cover and announce that VILLAIN is officially coming out in May of next year is such a joy and a relief i don't even know how to express it.
www.harpercollins.com/products/vil...
the cover for a book entitled Villain by Natalie Zina Walschots. the cover is a bright magenta with dark blue and teal lettering for the title, and the author's name is in yellow. there is an image of the silhouette of a woman carrying a cane, surrounded by the silhouettes of five superheroes.

Oof, I now have to summon the energy to go sell books in the rain and cold. Really annoyed the organizers didn't postpone this.
