Yeah I only use AI for the fun part right at the beginning where we're kicking ideas around and not worried about budget or expectations. Just the best part of any group creative endeavor, me and my team challenging each other with our most visionary ideas, I'm looking to automate that
"look we're not using AI in the final product we're just using it to speed up the conceptual stage" is what a lot of dopes affecting an enlightened middle position keep saying. I truly do not get that one. You hate imagining stuff? You don't like thinking and conceptualizing? Get a grip

The thing thats so insidious about using AI this way is that one of the main ways artists get hired are studios looking for art references and they find us and reach out.
This is removing a major avenue to get work if they can just generate nameless derivations of our ideas.

Sometimes I think about Deep Fear and how a lot of things about it don't work as a horror game but conceptually a lot of it really could work and a lot of the music itself is moody and sometimes haunting
Had I played it as a kid it'd probably still be living in my brain

I mean some of that is just because of how unlikely it is to get even marginal success
It's oversaturated as hell
