also I don't know if I can heap enough praise on the localizers for taking on this massive, daunting project so successfully

there are a lot of westernizations, turns of phrase, references, etc. and they work way more often than they don't. I'm impressed!

there are vanishingly few SRPGs that manage to balance risk/reward, and far fewer that can turn dying units into anything more than at best support pieces or at worst liabilities

I know I'm still being onboarded but it's very much doing the 1/3 real characters 2/3 gimmick one-noters thing, only now it's less likely that one of the latter will be found dead and kick off an arc

I've long considered un-hanging-up my EIC badge and starting an independent website that's basically a collective of writers who can contribute whatever, whenever, bc I trust them to make good shit

problem usually comes back to time spent/money, and ain't no way that shit'd be profitable

I make a point of not using suggested feeds whenever possible, just finding good writing and following those folks has served me well so far
