BGG's talent exodus of specifically just their best contributors (Candice Harris, Eric Martin) is all I need to see to double down on encouraging people to stop supporting

if you value the tabletop scene your money is better used elsewhere. I look forward to supporting their independent efforts!

growing up broke means that despite enjoying the switch 2 well enough thus far, not actively using it that much means I should at least consider selling it

admittedly part of that is because there are basically 0 upcoming games left I care about and I'm allergic to having dust collectors, but still

A reminder, if I wasn't clear enough before, that it's incredibly sketchy for BGG - a private business with closed books - to be holding out a begging hat at this time of year, every year.

Give money to charities instead.
It's all dreadful and I'm deeply suspicious. The "supporter drive" leaves me fuming, after they've run profitable cruises & conventions & plaster the site with advertising while doing virtually no moderation or functional improvements. It's a graft & an embarassment as the public face of the hobby

found out about the existence of the Polymega yesterday and I did not need to know about yet another hyper-niche enthusiast game box, much less one that looks this slick and has laserdisc-tier covers

why did they go that hard for Body Harvest???

While there isn’t much to really chew on after the story, A Pizza Delivery provides cozy interludes through ideal landscapes. With some slight hiccups along the way, it is a worthy introduction to Eric Osuna’s brand of storytelling.

Does anyone else have a nemesis who doesn't know they exist?

I do.

His name is Bobby Flay.

His new burger concept, Bobby's, just opened in an airport. In order to be a Qualified Hater I decided to partake.

I'll write more about some of these games on the website later this month, but for now I'll just say that I am one of Superball's strongest soldiers and will be donning sackcloth and ash when it inevitably gets shut down next year

The Raven is out of the cellar! My latest board game The Cask from Wizkids is up for preorder!

It’s a tense 2-player game of cat and mouse based on the classic Edgar Allen Poe story “The Cask of Amontillado”!

saw a (very well made!) video about how Dino Crisis 1 was a brilliant masterpiece and I don't know if I've ever sat through so many incorrect opinions in a row before

the evolutionary step to Resi 4 is Dino Crisis 2. you know, the good one. the one that's not just 6 keycard puzzles in a trenchcoat.

Our Black Friday gift to you, for the low low price of $0, is over 13,000 words about the Xbox 360 library.

This console gen felt like the last gasp of an industry before it turned a particularly heinous corner. Join us at the combination listicle and eulogy.

The Xbox 360 Twentieth Anniversary Special
The Xbox 360 is twenty years old and Microsoft will never achieve its heights again, so we may as well rank the 36 best games on it.

Kirby Air Riders is not-so-secretly by and for sickos and that's going to limit the broadness of its appeal somewhat but my god this could very easily be someone's forevergame

Decided to do stream of consciousness for Baby Steps. Felt appropriate. Gonna just post it late and whoever reads it reads it.

If you fancy yourself somebody who cares about the medium I think this might be required playing. Capital-I-Important game.

looking at all the games from this year that I haven't played and I'm increasingly not really worried about 'em

this was a great year! I played great stuff! I'm happy to go into award season as-is, and if I get the chance to try more of 'em later, cool

Baby Steps manbreaker status: broken

this game is very good but god the control scheme puts my poor wrists directly into the blender. still an admirable adaptation of Foddy and co's ideas into 3D space and has a lot to say. writeup soonish

fully fed up with roguelites as of late so I reinstalled Dicey Dungeons and maybe it's the contrast, but wow this game is even better than I remembered

sure you could do a run to gain 0.05% of a stat, or you could play a 20 minute one that ends with giving a girl scout 60 stacks of poison
