set an hour timer and get up for at least a minute to stretch, refocus your eyes, etc. you won't think you need it! you will.

Realized I didn't say what it tasted like: underseasoned to the point of almost being plain, underseared for a medium (which was recommended). Texturally one-note, mush. No grill to be seen anywhere on it. Sauce was the only detectable source of flavor but diluted by the Noah-tier flood of red.

Bobby Flay is an unqualified hack who can't cook, much less franchise. He is the reason your uncle calls himself a pitmaster while he burns the hot dogs again. Fuck that guy, his brands, and every trend he hopped on. There's a reason half of the competitors in Iron Chef America picked him to battle.

And look - I am not going after the staff here. They were all lovely, genuinely warm (esp for an airport) and I don't doubt they followed all instructions given.

But jesus fucking christ, you look at that burg situation and tell me it came from a Food Network Star (definitely tm).

Then I bit in and this bitch *exploded*. Not dripped, not a pleasant sensation, *popped* like a hot grease balloon. I ordered medium, the blood is whatever, but I'm not joking when I say I had to get up for (provided!) paper towels to clean the incident site. It insta-sogged the entire rest.

It won't shock you to learn that Lays-thin potato chips don't survive contact with hot patties! By the time it got from the counter to my table they were mostly a layer of softened, salted tater. NBD, happens, but surely a side of chips you can add would achieve the effect?

Now this was an airport so I won't aim at price. I ordered their top line in the category - a Crunchburger.

That consists of a cheeseburger, chips, and Bobby's Sauce (tm?). It is *only* those things, the purest Flay Experience.

Little context - I worked food for a long time, especially during the Food Network boom. The only personality none of us gave any respect to was Flay. When he wasn't filleting his fingers on Iron Chef he was releasing dogshit products for grilling, hot peppers, or both. I carry the torch.

nah, nobody has. that's by far the most niche thing on this and it's not doing particularly well, I just love it

meaningfully different games! Hot Streak is a top tier social game, MA is for a smaller group and one of my favorites of all time already, both excellent

I would proudly append "has been called The Jane Austen of Playstation 1 Critique" to my bio were I still writing for a major pub
November 30, 2025 at 5:13 PM
MA is my preferred "here are a bunch of powers, watch as they ping off each other" choice and Tiefe Taschen is a tighter negotiation game

that said it's a classic and there will never be another game that comes close to achieving the heights of CE in combining those things

I truly hope that Capcom announces a remake someday so that all of the dino crisis 1 fans can play it for the first time

also I feel like I'm taking crazy pills whenever anyone talks about how iconic Regina is

she barely talks! she isn't a character! no one in DC is! they're all either Cool Soldier or Guy Who Dies! that's their entire raison d'etre!

hey thanks!

literally experienced it the same way without ever playing it myself, which directly led to spending way too much time on other Kodaka games that I frankly should not have

that guy was a hero, glad you were able to go bowling with Roman day-of!
