Well the worse shit gets.......so never say never. It could be that the depth of the depravity over extended periods of time turns the populace so opposed to law enforcement that the constraints applied to it are draconian in their own right.

Perhaps, but it won't be like last time. Only ~30% of the population supports Trump. Probably less now considering Greg Sargent's reporting on polling today.... And of those, fewer still want to take up arms. This whole thing is more a crisis of institutions than of who we are collectively.

The unrest in response to that will be insane. You'd better hope it doesn't come to that though. Because more of us will die in furtherance of that eventuality.

You're seeing the unrest over one murder and other non-lethal illegality. Now imagine a people steeped in 250 years of individualism and self-determination told their vote doesn't count and threatened to accept it or else. I don't see an outcome to that scenario where every fascist isn't killed.

Except you're assuming in the former the president has the power to do that (he doesn't) and that terms can be extended (they can't) and that everyone else will then just go along with it (they won't).
In the latter, it's their small numbers vs. the rest of America.

Well, based on what he just said, no plan or organizing is needed. If you won an election, you're elected. You don't have to hide or go somewhere to make sure you're elected. The candidate is elected on election day and that's all there is to it.
