It's time to state clearly that if MAGA and Republicans can't condemn any part of this shooting, continue to blame the victim for it, and even hint that it's a just outcome that others "deserve," that's a crossing of the line that the rest of us won't ever be able to forget.
Rep. Randy Fine: "If you impede the actions of our law enforcement as they seek to repel foreign invaders from our country, you get what's coming to you. I do not feel bad for the woman that was involved."

Republicans says it's okay for Donald Trump to kill Americans in the middle of our cities. It is as simple as that. They are the party of gang murders.

We need to get it lodged more firmly in the discourse that Trump and Stephen Miller are prioritizing removing nonviolent immigrants over public safety. They are sinking so many resources into their ethnic purification project that they're putting us in more danger.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey should run for Governor of Minnesota. He gets it. He speaks the truth. And he clearly does not give a shit about how his words poll in real time. Minnesota deserves leaders who lead, not ones who focus group their courage. Jacob Frey is one of them.

I hate to break it to you, but heavily-armed government militias are roaming unchecked through US cities and shooting human rights observers dead in the streets. That's happening in our country.

Agree or disagree whether Bade counts as a journalist, you can't help but be in awe of her subservience to power. Media critics called out this kind of BS since at least "Shock & Awe" -- loudly & publicly. And yet Bade hears not, sees not, comprehends not -- and still pronounces. Damn.
Former Politico reporter Rachael Bade weighs in.

“Trump’s narrow support among the public has vanished. Despite his aggressive attacks on the press, his administration continues to leak like a sieve and what is discovered in those leaks is reported, however unfavorable it may be to him. Heavy-handed attempts are met with social revolts.”
We Are Going to Win
Trump's revolution will fail, but we still have a long and painful road ahead of us.

This is no doubt what Jeffries wants and plans. It was also what Pelosi thought about it after 2018, and that didn’t survive contact with the reality that Trump inevitably does crimes so outrageously anti-constitutional that not impeaching him becomes untenable.

She caved, and so will Jeffries.
Every couple weeks Mike Johnson will warn Republicans that Democrats will impeach Trump if they take the House. My expectation: Jeffries won't want another go-nowhere impeachment, will want Raskin/Garcia to probe Trump admin with more results, but Al Green types will issue buzzy impeachment resos.

It was never the govt that was the problem. It wasn't the dems either.
"One of the big reasons why a lot of us grew up as conservatives is we were afraid that if you give too much power to the government, someone bad could come in and use it for their own personal gratification and empowerment," George Conway says. "And here we are. This is exactly it."

@durbin.senate.gov your staff needs to read this. do your homework on these issues or just retire immediately, conference be damned.
Senator Durbin has had this explained to him multiple times. Getting rid of 230 doesn't help this, but will make it worse. It will make it impossible for smaller sites to exist (like this one) and will give MORE POWER to companies like Meta and X.

Why would Durbin want to do that?
Children are being exploited and abused because Big Tech consistently prioritizes profits over people.

Enough is enough. Time to sunset Section 230.

When all this is over I can't help but think that the road back from anti-democratic behavior will require more anti-democratic behavior. For instance, a certain news outlet should be raided, all personel detained, and while detained all physical assets should be burned and holdings liquidated. Done
