Um, ICE just coldly shot an unarmed PRIEST in the head w a pepper ball when he (and everyone around him) clearly posed no threat.

For the crime of … complaining about government policy.

Looking for examples of cancer disinformation for a case study for my students. Tried Google & got useful articles about reasons for it, but no concrete examples. Googled for what our current head of HHS says causes cancer & got plenty for my project. This is surely fine & good & not a problem! 🙃

CPD just relieved feds from this line too. Then a moment later the feds gassed the whole area, including the cops.

Now the boats are going the other way on the river (towards the lake). I'm happy to report they are being greeted by a chorus of jeers from people on the Riverwalk (not sure you can hear it over the helicopters, but I could hear it from indoors, which is how I knew they must be back!)

Anyone who thinks NYC is a crime ridden hellhole… anecdata but still data: I did not realize that I lost my credit card in a large market. Not only did an employee notice & keep it, she gave it to the manager of the mall, who called me back on her personal cell phone to make sure I got it back. 💚🍎

Considered it at one point. Mentioned this to a realtor who was showing me places & he said the people who live there do *because* they want to be separated from the rest of the city. Having been a lurker over the years on a FB group I had joined back then, can confirm. Glad I went elsewhere.

In fact, if anything worse because that means it could have been anyone at anytime!

Passive voice working overtime in that article, which makes it sound like it was possibly from someone hunting on private property, not, y’know, because it’s next to the official PD gun range.
