According to FullFact.org, under the last Tory Govt, elected in 2019, only 2 of their 42 manifesto pledges were delivered.

Conversly, Starmer - elected in July 2024 - has enacted 57 of Labour's 83 manifesto Pledges.

And Kemi wants to reverse them all.

Just a random reminder that trickle-down economics was invented by conservatives in the 1980s to justify massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. It’s been nothing short of a disaster.

In journalism it's important to reflect both sides, listen, understand nuance,be aware of your bias
It’s also important to call out facts that aren’t true

Given the largest factor by far stopping UK economic growth is Brexit - how was leaving the European Union without a plan for growth outside it at best not grossly irresponsible and at worst gross negligence on the part of the previous government?

And if they don't pay up, Labour could always ban them from driving for a year or two.
Dear HMRC
It's a funny old world when you're rich and don't pay your taxes.
Lord Ashcroft £112 million tax avoidance.
Lord Bamford may owe up to £500 million in taxes.
Perhaps the #HMRC should vigorously follow up on these two feckers.

So the Telegraph are furious that the Attorney General is a remainer who tried to save the country from disastrous no deal Brexit.

It’s utterly ridiculous they believe only pro Brexit people can be in positions of power.

Badenoch saying it was a mistake not to have a growth plan for Brexit highlights that she doesn't understand what happened.

There was no growth plan that all parts of the Leave coalition could have agreed on.

Winning required implying different outcomes to different people.

UK laws can't prevent billionaires/Musk from funding political parties.

Payments can be routed through UK friends, corporate subsidiaries. Shell companies have been used.

UK profits can be manufactured to make donations.

Total ban is the only effective remedy.
