Today I flushed my water heater and replaced the anode. Neither of those things had been done during my regular "service checks" by the company I'm stuck renting it from.

So I've been supplementing my Duolingo French with Google Gemini, but lately I noticed whenever gender comes up (as it often does when discussing conjugations) the responses are always prefaced with "This is for informational purposes only. For medical advice or diagnosis, consult a professional."

Trying to explain why "your polygon is inside out" wasn't a joke answer and in fact the geometry points are reversed. Having a whiteboard is one of the things I missed about working in an office, things just make more sense when you can write them on a wall.

I really want to tell people about Companion without spoiling the twist and I'm not sure how. I took my wife to it last night without telling her anything about it and it blew her mind. Definitely a movie where the less you know about it going in the better.

I've changed together so many nested function calls at this point I should probably have just written this importer in F#, but I'm glad C# has better support for this kind of stuff these days anyways.

New Solo Leveling is great, first season still slaps though, as the kids say. Binged the entire thing in a day again because I hadn't watched since last summer, though S2E1 has a decent enough recap at the beginning.

UCP has decided that Alberta Health will no longer keep track of how many Albertans die while waiting for surgery or to see a specialist to get a diagnosis/treatment plan. Not a surprise. They've been letting cancer patients die on waiting lists for probably a year now after all.

In case anyone was curious about how the workers feel about being legislated back to work, the absolute state of my mailbox after having a package I ordered before the strike aggressively stuffed into it should be a good indicator. Thankfully it bent back into shape, but a good laugh regardless.
